inpHeXion is a game for 2 players invented by Masahiro Nakajima, the Curator of The Museum of Abstract Strategy Games, in 2014. The game is inspired by the way fungus grows.
inpHeXion has the same components and victory condition as a 7x7 HEX, but features some clever mechanisms of piece placement and capturing that makes it very interesting and deep. And it has 'ice' acrylic discs!
Components: game board, cotton case, 25 black discs, 25 'ice' discs. The discs are made of 8mm thick and 18mm diameter laser-cut acrylic.
This game won the BoardGameGeek Best Combinatorial 2-Player Game of 2014 Award.
