Minoa is an abstract game with connective play for 2-4 players designed by Dieter Stein.
It is played on a hexagonal board with black and colored sticks. In their turn, players either place a neutral black stick in the inner region of the board or they place a stick of their own color at the outer border. Sticks are placed on the lines of the board and hereby delimit regions. Black sticks must be placed in a way that - if a completely delimited region results - this region includes at least one line at the border of the board. This way, at the end of the game, each region can be assigned to a player. The game is won by the player with the largest territory.
Components: board (pad), cotton case, 60 black sticks, 12 red, 12 blue, 8 yellow, 6 green pieces. The pieces and sticks are made of 3mm thick laser-cut acrylic.
