A cooperative board game for 1 to 4 players by Miguel Marqués.
By the end of the III century the Roman Empire has
too many enemies for the Emperor Diocletian. In order
to face them, he first shares the power with Maximian,
but still overwhelmed they appoint as Caesars two other
colleagues, Galerius and Constantius, to create the first ‘Tetrarchy’. Together they will fight all the internal and
external threats... Will you be able to hold the Empire?
TETRARCHIA (Latin of Tetrarchy, “rule of four”) is
a cooperative game in which 1 to 4 players take the role of
the 4 Emperors, fighting the revolts within the Empire and
the Barbarian armies that try to bring it down. With simple
rules, the core engine leads to very different games, offering
several difficulty challenges and many interesting choices.
The players win if they secure the borders of the Empire
before the majority of provinces revolt or Rome falls.
Components: board, 4 Roman Emperors (made of 9mm thick laser-cut acrylic), 3 Roman fleets (3mm thick acrylic), 3 Barbarian armies (9mm thick), 21 gray Unrest tokens, 21 black Revolt tokens, 5 Emperor tokens in each color, 1 black die with normal numerals, 1 white die with roman numerals, cotton case
DUX expansion: The Emperors will face a new and redoubtable enemy coming from eastern Europe, while the Pirates add a new obstacle to block their naval movement. Hopefully, the Dux may come to their aid!
You can now purchase the new DUX expansion (one orange Emperor, one black Goth, two orange ships and one black ship; see bottom right pic) for 8 Eur. Please contact me to include it in your order.
