A deck of cards made of tiles, by Néstor Romeral Andrés.
tiledeck is basically a regular deck of cards made of black acrylic tiles, shiny and clacky. The tiles are laser-engraved and painted. They are 9mm thick and 25mm wide, so they can be placed standing up. They will last forever.
There are 60 tiles in 4 colours (yellow, red, green, blue). Each colour has 15 tiles numbered from 1 to 15, which means 2 more tiles per suit than a regular deck, so it can accomodate more players in games like Big Two. Any card game playable with a regular deck can be played with tiledeck.
Moreover, each tile has been binary-coded on its perimeter, by adding 'gates' to some or all of its edges. This opens the path for future games to be designed for this set.
Green tiles also have a little spot so that colour-blinds can distinguish them.
Here is a list of games that you can play with a tiledeck set.
Important notice: This is a rare item. I initially created it for personal use as a game prototyping tool, but the end result is so impressive that I've decided to release it. The manufacturing process is expensive and complex (hence the price). I've made a few copies already, but I cannot assure you that I will keep on manufacturing it in the future. If you want a copy please email me here. Orders placed in Bitcoin have a discount.
